I Reached Up, Into The Sky by ShyHeart

I reached up, into the sky, trying to clear, a tear, from my eye
Felt the strike, of lightening, burning, deep, into my heart
My eyes, yes, they still cried, felt a moment, of emptiness
That has seemed, to be, my heart’s life, then, I felt, Lightening

Come into my heart, a rainbow of love, shadows, different shades
Of life, with, out love, I saw, the purple, the blue and gold, then saw you
As the lightening flashed, into my heart, I tried, to, dry my, heart’s tears
Yet, still, inside my heart, I’m so empty, with out you being, near

Sometimes, I think, I have found away, to get rid, of myself, again
I see a rainbow, my favorite gift from him, I see all the colors of Love, that
Say, Hey, wake up, he gave these, these, thoughts of love, from me to you

I hear his voice, Do not pity yourself, for what I offer you, Is, the love
You have feared to share, you prefer, to be struck
By, my lightening bolt, very well, I give to you, what you ask
And as you burn, your heart away,

Why, don’t you, just, reach up into the sky
And touch me? I am all, you will ever be, Yet, I am not so high,
Your heart, can not touch me. So, if, my lightening, burns your heart
Perhaps, you love and need me, more than you think

As, I wipe, a tear, from my heart’s eye, I look up at heaven
Then I see, no one around me, yet, I’m not alone
I feel the flutter, of angel’s wings, over me

All, because, I allowed my heart to, Reach Up, Into The Sky,
Then, I saw, his love, smiling, back at me
Then I felt, the tear, fade away, from my eye

“I, Reached Up, Into The Sky.”
