I'm all grown up now.
Don't hold me down.
let me stand my own ground.
I love you so much,
but you gotta know.
The time has come,
to let me go.
Let me shine,
let me fly.
Let me fall,
let me cry.
Let me learn my mistakes on my own.
Let me live,
let me learn.
Let my fire burn.
Just know I'll always come back home.
Let me shine.
You taught me to fly,
so let me go now.
I know in your eyes,
you think I should stay down.
I need so much more,
than what I see everyday.
So watch me soar,
watch me fly away.
Let me shine,
let me dream.
Let me dance,
let me scream.
Let me feel the wind beneath my wings.
Let me try,
let me see.
Let me love endlessly.
I wanna find the strength to try new things.
Let me shine.
I wanna go where the wind blows,
see where life takes me.
Go where my heart goes,
I know life won't break me.
Let me run,
let me cry.
Let me pray,
everyday.
I can change the world if I try...
Let me shine!
