Fear Of My Darkness

My heart is full of sadness,
the pain cuts like a knife.
My soul cries out for freedom,
as tears over take my eyes.
Shadows gather round me
in this darkness that I live.
Rage pours through my veins
I'm hanging over the edge.
I cry out to the world, but
no one seems to hear.
I am truly alone in this
darkness that I fear.
