Wild Fire
3 August, 2004
Author: Andrew James Ball
Darkness falls across the land,
As the blood red sun sinks below the burning land.
The only lights that can be seen,
Are the flames of evil swallowing everything.
Do not gaze at its awesome might,
For if you do you might have to stay and fight.
Many mournful cries call out to the night.
The sinister flames dance around,
Demolishing all that is in its path,
Until at last the prayer of all prayers is answered,
By the arrival of the falling rain.
Dampening out the flame’s fun,
They say so long,
But they’ll be back.
The golden sun approaches overhead,
Revealing all that is dead and gone.
It is sad,
Yes I know,
But at least in the end,
It will all come back again.
