Roller Skates
20 August, 2004
Author: Ben Laney
Don't wear roller skates
when you're roofing
'Cause you might
go sailing instead
Yeah, you could go rolling
right off the edge
land on the ground
crack your pointy head
Don't wear roller skates
when you're roofing
I hope you heard
the words I just said
Don't wear roller skates
when you're roofing
'Cause you might
go sailing instead
------- Author's Notes -------
Earlier this yeara friend of mine was cleaning the gutters on her steeply inclined roof and slipped right over the edge, breaking her leg when she hit the ground. The week she was to get the cast removed I said to her, "I guess you won't be going up on that that roof again anytime soon, huh?" Her reply was, "Yes, but this time I'm wearing roller skates!" Haa! Haaa! This is based on another true story and it is dedicated to my fearless friend, Marva. Peas and Hominy, Ben |

BEN LANEY (63.194.136.161) -- Friday, August 20 2004, 11:15 pm Terrie*, When sailing it is never good to be stopped by the ground hitting your face, now is it? To tell you the truth, Marva scares me a little. She is a registered nurse and will not listen to a word the doctors tell her! I do thank you soooo much for your comment on this one, it is very much appreciated, for sure. HUGS/LOVE back at you by the train loads! Ben |
