This, Is The Best, I Can Do
20 August, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
I never take my words, to seriously, for if, I did, I’d tear, my heart apart
Late at night, when, I’m alone, my thoughts, drift to your love, and words
They can’t be found, no, not, in the normal way, so, I go outside
When the moon is full, look for the fire flies, I catch them, as my words
Then, one and another, they light, up my heart, thank you full moon
For expressing my heart. Once, I have written, each, fire flies words down
I, take them back outside, and give them their freedom, that, they gave to my heart,
need to give them their freedom. For tomorrow is another night, a lone
Words that are gentle, soft as moon-light, are the words, I’m looking for
They are so, hard to find, need the touch of honesty, the breath of fresh air
See a cloud, drifting across, the smiling face, of the mid-night moon
Then I see, another fire fly, pass by, and I grab on, another word to share
Another thought of loving you, that I will set free and I watch her fly
Not away, but, closer to me, for the word that was shared, with me
Another night of loving, beneath the full-Moon’s, fire flies.
Words for you, should come from heaven, this is, the best I can do
