It Always Hurts To Say Goodbye
28 August, 2004
Author: Brett
This is honestly the last thing I wanted to occur
Becoming emotionally involved now has me seeing blurred..
Leaving is never an easy thing to do
To me it was freedom, uncaged, just being friends with you..
You told me your feelings, which somehow made me smile
For you to just break my heart, and laugh all the while..
It just proves to show that no matter what I do
I'll always be fooled by fake friends like you..
I don't care if you appoligize at all right now
No words can take back what you did, no matter how..
I guess I should blame myself for not thinking straight
Why be with a person, just before I leave the airport gates?
Seeing as I knew you for almost 6 years
I would have never expected you to bring me to tears..
It amazes me how much you can realize in one night
Many years of friendship destroyed before daylight..
Maybe this is a lesson that you learn in life
You grow from your experience, and never do it twice..

Meridian (64.12.116.200) -- Monday, August 30 2004, 09:16 pm Oh man! You set this poem off! Your rhyming, is right on point! Sorry, if I'm a little jumpy right now, but you certainly expressed a ton of emotions in this piece of writing! I'm terribly sorry about the "friendship lost" situation.... Don't you hate it when, a person you've known for most of your life, all of a sudden, decides to change roles, and personalities.... Great job!----wait a sec, I didn't mean that..... I meant.........SPLENDID JOB! You go Brett! Take care! Smiles, Meri |
