Wait For True Love
7 September, 2004
Author: Del
When I was young,
I wished upon falling stars.
I believed in fairy tales.
I believed I'd fall in love,
And live happily ever after.
But beneath the surface of these fantasies,
Comes the naked truth of reality.
Love is not something you can purchase,
Like a piece of rare jewelry.
True lasting love must be earned.
Love is not just taking and savoring.
Love is taking, but also giving.
The only way you can give your all,
Is when that feeling comes
>From deep within your heart.
If that feeling is not there,
Don't try to lead your someone on.
Be patient and wait.
Someday true love will come along.
