The Love Remains
12 September, 2002
Author: Briana Moore
For those who are sad
For the tears that have been shed,
For the ones who are mad
For the people that bled.
The two buildings that stood
Then collapsed to the ground,
For those that could
And the love that we found.
Each and every day
We look back at that time,
So we can stand and say
Thanks to every kind.
For every heart and all the tears
And the emotions that we feel,
We can let go of all our fears
And slowly bend down to kneel.
For the flag still stands today
For the shooting of the gun,
You can never take that away
For we are united as one.
