How Hard It Is

How hard it is to keep ones silence
When inside my heart shouts out,
How hard it is to keep ones distance
When we are already far apart,
How hard it is to say "Hello"
When "I love you" is on my lips,
How hard it is to idly sit
When my body says "Let's go!",
How hard it is to lower my gaze
When my eyes would seek yours out,
How hard it is to give you space
When my arms won't let you go,
How hard it is to stop believing
When the truth is in our grasp,
How hard it is to taste the wine
When the cup is barely passed,
How hard it is to sit and wait
When I pray it's not too late.
How hard it is
