Looking Like Your Grandpa by Ben Laney

Benjamin oh Benjamin
oh Benjamin my son
It's too late it's too late
what is done now is done
Hey with every passing day
it's become plain to see
you're just another big nut
on the Laney family tree
But son what's really funny
what beats all I've ever saw
Is that more and more and more
you're looking like your Grandpa!

It is funny how time changes things. I was showing a picture of my Dad to some of my son's friends and they said, "He looks more like his Grandpa than you!" Haaa! Haaaa! Haaaa! And, it is true, he does look more like his Grandpa than I do. For some reason that makes me very, very HAPPY! If you see Benjamin, be sure to tell him, "Hey, I hear you look like your Grandpa!" Hee Heee Heee!

a big blessing in itself.......Hun, this is a great Son/Grandpa poem ya mastered here...
isn't it amazing how family genes travel..
we lose a loved one, yet we have another loved one, like your Son Benjamin whom can stare directly into your baby blues to reflect the dad you loved so much...and both were and remain a part of you.....amazing.....

Terrie*, with these baby blues it's strange to see a Grandpa's face standing inside my son's shoes! And now Benjamin and his wife are going to have a little one of their own soon who will probably look like me! Yep, those gene things that God made are VERY amazing, girlfriend. as always..i will always enjoy all you write..even your comments are a delight..conratulations on the next Laney delivery..watch out world if it is a male and is born w/long blond hair wearing a hat and a guitar in his hands, the Laneys singing voice will meszmerize you for sure.
