I'm Dying Over Here
19 September, 2004
Author: Ben Laney
Somtimes I'm laughing
to cover my pain
I put on a smile
in the driving rain
I'm out there acting
as if it's all okay
When all the while
I'm fading away
Oh oh I'm dying over here
Hey hey I'm dying over her
Feeling so alone
wishing you were near
Oh oh I'm dying over here
Hey hey I'm dying over here
Lately I'm reeling
losing all control
Still I keep reaching
for something to hold
It gets hard trying
Not to let it show
When all these feelings
are burning through my soul
I am down on my knees
every single night
Asking my God to please
please help me in this fight
Oh oh I'm dying over here
Hey hey I'm dying over here
Feeling so alone
wishing you were near
Oh oh I'm dying over here
Hey hey I'm dying over her
------- Author's Notes -------
This one speaks on more than one level, I think. There's not much I have to say about it except that for some reason this took me quite a while in the writing. Oh, and I really hope you like it! |
