Everything Familiar
19 September, 2004
Author: LinzAy
I closed my eyes...for but a moment
And when I reopened them to see everything so familiar again
Everything familiar was gone
Everything was gone......everything
I scream out in loneliness
I scream out in emptiness
I reach out for it all
I reach out
But there's nothing
Nothing left to beat inside this empty chest
And as I scream...for a moment and over
That moment feels as though it's renamed itself as an eternity
A moment in an hourglass never out of time
A moment......an eternity
And I bleed...for all I've lost
For everything familiar that so quickly, so suddenly disappeared
I'm hollow inside and out now
I'm hollow now......so incomplete
