I Know
20 September, 2004
Author: Barbara Goodhew
I know what it feels to hurt.
I know what it feels to be treated like dirt.
I know what it feels to be loved.
I know what it feels to be well bodied.
I know what it feels to be ill bodied.
I know what it feels to be confined.
I know what it feels to be free.
Best of all I know what it feels to be ME.
------- Author's Notes -------
I wrote this after being told I don't know what they,ve been through. We all make choices, to be bitter and cold, or loving and warm. I made the choice not to be like the people in my life. I chose to be loving and warm. |
