Sacrifices

Sacrifices, sacrifices
Always we must choose
Sacrifices, sacrifices
We will always lose
Everything we wish for
Everything we dream
Will just be a debt
We, ourselves, cannot redeem
Sacrifices, sacrifices
Why do you speak in lie?
Sacrifices, sacrifices
Why do the good always die?
------- Author's Notes -------
For some odd reason, I've been writing shorter poems, though not to my losing. I'm not sure if this has a hidden message or no.. Of course, I have always wondered why we sacrifice more than we gain. |

Terrie* (65.148.231.102) -- Monday, September 20 2004, 02:16 pm the hidden message here will differ to many that choose to read , my child, but...we do gain much more than we sacrafice...next time you make a sacrafice big or small..look into the hidden rewards that were just redeemed, we very seldom notice such things...something Good always comes out of a sacrafice when given with love of a true unselfish heart.....love your creations..your quite an artist of poetry..your heart has the knowledge that your pen craves... |
Scorpio (67.162.95.179) -- Monday, September 20 2004, 09:32 pm Of course, those whom have different perspectives will view it differently than I, but this poem is meant for anyone. Personally, my sacrifices are my triumphs and my defeats. As well, sometimes it seems as though the worst is a much bigger change rather than the good. And as though I try to be as good as I can be, I feel as though my body has been weighed with a cold steel heart of evil that can never be deminished. But, I thank you so much for your comments and they are always uplifting. I do hope to make my career in writing some day, and hopefully, with the right critique and improvement, I shall do so. Many praises to you and I do hope all is well, if not, better. Hugs |
Meridian (172.129.68.100) -- Tuesday, September 21 2004, 07:56 pm That when I click in here, you'll have something good for the readers to read. Something worth thinking about, a sacrifice. When I think of the word sacrifice, I think of the term, "to offer something".... And of course, you expound it in a way that interests the reader. You go girl!! And I like how you say, speaking of sacrifices, in so many words, in order to gain something, we have to lose something, but in the end, it'll all work out. As always, You're the instructor and I'm the student! I enjoyed this lecture! Keep on Scorpio! Smiles, Meridian |
Scorpio (67.162.95.179) -- Tuesday, September 21 2004, 09:46 pm Your compliment made me smile. Sacrifices can be for the better or worse. And for certain times, doesn't is seem like we always get the short end of the stick? Of course, I don't mean to complain in my poetry, I just try to view things from both sides, so I can understand the good and bad of it. Thank you so much, I really was glad to hear a comment from you. (: Smiles! |
