A Prayer For You

It's so hard to lose someone dear
and crumble into a sea of tears
longing for them to still be near
or their voice once more to hear
It's so hard to have to go through
all those things that you must do
while your heart is crushed inside you
and your soul is broken in two
I can't be there that is true
but this one thing I can do
I'm sending up a prayer for you
To the true God of comfort beyond the blue
