9 To 5, And Some
9 September, 2004
Author: Mikey
Employment, a fundimental academic yearning
Endeavours of well spent youth, and the years of learning
The gage of your worth is what you're earning
So why am I stoney-broke
School, College and University
Disagreeing, concuring, invoking adversity
Awe-filled, Wide-eyed, and agog perplexity
Do you want to buy some certificate frames?
Objectives, targets, goals, policy change,
Sweat filled long hours, smelling of mange
The sum reward leaves me with no more than small change
Brother can you spare a dimmer-switch
Home, the sanctuary of all things bright
But the working hours leave little daylight
The next working day is already in sight
Good night, early start in a few hours.
