Someone Else, Will Cry Tonight
4 October, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
Have you ever felt like, no one, even knew you were alive
Felt, the world you lived in, belonged to yourself, just you
No one, ever showed or shared, a tender touch, or, heard your words
Have you ever felt, like the only cloud in the sky, was you, floating by
Have you ever had a cup of coffee, asked for more sugar
The waitress just passed you by, to busy with other orders
As you looked out the window, saw cars passing by, in the rain
Tail lights, flying by, symbols to a destination, you, will, never know
Sometimes, even an honest heart, will cry, it told no lies
Just seems, some things work out, for your friends
Yet, when they ask you, how are you doing, you reply
Just living my life, in a coffee cup, watching, tail lights go by
Then you see. A police car, go flying by. Its red lights
Saying, this is an emergency, let me by, someone, needs help
Then, I realize, my world is not as lonely as I thought
Someone else, is chasing red lights, to help someone, tonight
I feel better now, not as alone as I did, when the waitress, passed me by
Down the road, some red tail lights, never reached, their destination
Someone else, will cry tonight, as I set here and drink my coffee,
With out sugar I needed, someone else, will cry tonight.
