Come On
3 October, 2004
Author: Ashlee
All i want,
all i need,
is for you to grow up
for you to come clean
I shake you,
you break me,
but you still won't wake up
to this reality
I scream inside
and whisper to you,
but your ears fall deaf
to the words i speak
Listen a little closer,
take a second look
i don't lie,
i don't cover up my tracks
The biggest, best
thing is right in front of you
wake up
I'm screaming now,
i'm shaking now
open up and see
We could be like
the mister and missus,
we could dream together,
plan together,
fall together,
grow together
Why can't you see it
why can't you feel it
why can't you hear it now
I'm beginning to break
i can't take it anymore
Maybe when my sliced
edges fall upon your tender
hands
you'll realize,
finally realize
what you could've, should've
held onto

Meridian (172.129.254.155) -- Thursday, October 7 2004, 12:13 am Ashlee, you want him to wake up and smell the waffles, and the hot cocoa! He'll come around sooner or later, and say, "Oh man, why did I wait so long?"! The perfect poem Ashlee! Smiley face, Meri |
