Gone

The glow of your smile has dimmed,
yet the radiant light of your soul still shines
No longer will we hear your laugh
or feel your warmth,
but instead we will feel your laugh
and see your warmth
The footprints you've left behind
still linger in our hearts,
we all knew we'd love and embrace you
right from the start
The memories left behind caress our faces
as they briefly past
teasing our hearts
wanting the memories to last
Pictures flash, voices sound,
those were the days when we could just fool around
The kindness of your heart was too much for one soul,
the love inside you was too much for any
Now we're left standing with a piece of you in our hearts,
now we're left standing so far apart
