Memories

The emotion spills through the slits of my eyes
as i remember the times we spent together
Memories come and go each day,
i'd pay everything to make them stay
they're the only thing i have to hold onto
since youre out of my reach these days
I hold your picture in my left and write you
this in my right,
i kiss your picture in the morning and say i love you
at night
My days have changed,
and holidays aren't the same
there's one less at the table now
and filling up the space is one thing i just
don't know how
I wish i could see you one last time,
i wish i could embrace you and put your hand
in mine
There's a part of my heart that's empty now
but im saving it for you
memories are all i have
and they fill up the hole thats left
I love you, forever and always
------- Author's Notes -------
