Sadly Ever After
5 October, 2004
Author: Kelcris
Long after your words are forgotten
the memories remain
long after your eyes have unfrozen
the pain still remains
long after I've said I'm sorry
you still make me pay
and you cut so deep
no blood can flow there
and the wounds so wide
there's no bridge to the outside
long after your name's gathered dust
i will remember
long after my smile has returned
the desire will be bent
long after I've burned all the memories
the ashes will pollute who i am

Meridian (172.174.238.244) -- Wednesday, October 6 2004, 10:43 pm It's very creative how you combine your name with his, that's super cool! This poem and your others express tons of grief and hurt, that my heart goes out to you. All I can do is hope for you to get better. Heartbreak is always tough. I'll keep smiling from the east side Once again, very good poem! Meri |
