Memories

I used to talk to her whenever.
Now she's gone forever.
Maybe she'll come back someday,
and listen to what I have to say.
I wonder if I will ever see her again.
If I do, will she look at me and grin?
Will she be happy in what I have turned out to be?
Or will she look at me and fear to see?
I imagine over and over,
seeing her face to face.
I can't wait to run up and hug her,
in that wonderful place.
With angels all around us,
no demons among us.
I picture us running across a beautiful plain,
and hopping on Gods wonderful train.
Talking about what could have been,
and thanking eachother for what has been.
She's been sent to heaven for eternity.
With a teriffic mind, and a wonderful personality.
She'll watch over me,
until it's my time.
But for now, all I have is memories,
our memories.
Until the earth untwins.

------- Author's Notes -------

I wrote this on January 7, 2004. After my best friend died at 12 years old. By a brain anurism. My writing poems about her has helpped me cope with tha fact that she is gone and I wont be able to see her for a while. I am 14 years old now, i just turned 13 when she died, and i want to thank her so much for watching over my family and friends and even me.

Angela, my heart cries and delights w/you..

on your best friend journey home..i extend my heartfelt words on your loss, this drew heavens tears to fall down and touch mine..she stands , runs and walks besides you, hears your every word, she's that Angel smiling and pointing you out to every other angel expressing her pride for who you are as "YOU" this is a very lovely read..Brain anurism is among the many silent killers..writing does serve as a great therapy, a pleasant timeout for "YOU" to feel a 1 on 1 w/God ,express..i know it has helped me deal w/my losses..may your poetry serve as your strength as well as your memories serve as a solid ground to go to relive and move on in life..absolutely beautiful sweetie......

Never forget

It is great that you write poems for your friend. However, no matter what happens, always remember the good times you have with her and she will always live on forever. Forget her and she will be truly dead...
