And The Rain, Came Pouring Down
7 October, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
After all those lies I told you, about working late
And seeing you in the morning, I could tell
You had been crying all night, blaming yourself
For all the lies and lonely nights, your, tears, fell like rain
Then, one day, when I came home, on time, for a change,
You were gone, and all your clothes, all I found, was this note
No, you are not to blame, it must be me, now, I realize
We were not meant to be, and I think, you tried
Sorry, darling, for all the pain I caused, now, I am gone
Maybe, the only right thing, I ever did for you, don’t worry
I will be fine, no longer will you see, that I cried all night
My love is strong enough, to spare you, anymore pain
I laid her note down, went outside, set on the porch
The sun was going down, I looked up into the evening sky
All I saw, was my own eyes, and the rain, began pouring down
As I looked up into the evening sky…, all I saw, was my own eyes
“And The Rain, Came, Pouring Down”
