Tears
24 August, 2003
Author: Capricorn
The clouds are laden - - full of tears.
Downcast, they slump across the skies;
engorged, while sunshine disappears
and heaven turns to grey and sighs.
God's Kingdom needs to overflow.
Then sheets of lightning flash to snap
the silhouetted scene below,
while drums rumble and cymbals clap.
When clouds can bear no more, they burst
in tears until their showers poured
on driest earth, to quench her thirst,
the wilting foliage restored.
The sun soon pierces through the rain
and clouds sail lightly once again.
