My Lonely Heart Soars
21 October, 2004
Author: Emilee
A heart once broken,
now flies high.
Sad words I've spoken,
now seem so dry.
This lonely heart soars,
into the white hot sun.
Discouraged no more,
I'm ready to run.
I've finally destroyed
the wall that I'd built.
No longer will I aviod
the feelings I get.
Now I feel
I could take on the world.
This love is so real,
I would fly if I could.
You rescued me,
just in time.
You set my heart free,
let me know this love is mine.
My lonely heart soars,
now I finally see.
It's broken no more,
I can finally be.
How can I thank you,
for seeing me.
Making me realize
the beauty in me.
So long I have waited,
for someone like you.
To come take my hand and
show me what was true.
My lonely heart soars,
now because of you.
I feel so much more,
I feel so brand new!
Thank you for being,
just what I need.
I love you for lifting
me up to my feet.
It's lonely no more,
I know it's true.
My happy heart soars
now because of you!
