Sleeping Awake
22 October, 2004
Author: Mere
The lights are flickering,
The people are bickering,
I'm losing my mind,
Not like their kind.
I can't fall asleep, cause I'm feeling crazy,
Everything's dying and going hazy,
There's dust on the window,
And it's cold when the wind blows.
I'm gonna pass out,
I don't know what it's about,
So I take my shirt off,
And watch all the people scoff.
My eyes are getting tired,
I can't do this, I need to be wired,
I'm feeling kind of sick,
So now it's hard to stick.
So tired, I could die,
And not have to say good-bye,
I'm starting to fall,
I'm losing it all.
I need a cup of coffee, or something really strong,
Not enough to hurt me, and not enough to be wrong,
I'm going to fall over,
Like a rock upon a Rover.
