A Misty Day
8 May, 2003

The mist surrounds me like a veil
when dampness seeps into my bones
and cools my blood. I feel so frail
today, my aching body groans.

The clinging veil does not resist
until the sun will shine again.
My mind is clouded in the mist
as if the drizzle rusts my brain.

A moisture settles, fine as dew
that morning sprinkles in the dawn.
but through the damp I see the blue
of sunny skies when mists have gone.

I feel the veil begint to lift,
as warmth now starts to penetrate
my blood, and pain begins to drift
away. I see the haze abate.

The sun now filters through the mist
to make me feel I've just been kissed!

Those misty days!

Those misty days! We have lots of them. I'll think of this poem when it's here and wait for the sun to filter through because it's been missed. Very nice poem, I really like it. Thanks Cap, another good one.
