Winter Ends
16 April, 2003
Author: Capricorn
At dawn all life begins to feel
that nature stirs, and starts to peal
her bells; announcing time to wake
the earth, from Winters' sleepy break.
On slender stem, those long slim leaves
create the daffodil's green sleeves.
With yellow trumpet she will sing
to herald birth of fresh new Spring.
Twigs will burst with new born buds,
while creatures wake and nature floods
the earth with life, renewed from sleep,
and flowers over meadows sweep.
The sun shines through a softened breeze,
the scene is set, I feel at ease.
