Noah, I see you sitting by that lamb that's behind
The vision of your smile, embedded in my mind
Remembered the horse, as we helded on the winds of a carousel
The bronze whale tail, dripping water, in my arms I held
Sea birds we watched, on top of a space needle
You stared at the ugly monk fish, and at the beauty of a blue parrot fish
How can I make this day last forever, I wish
Noah, my first grandson, your only four months old, how will you remember?
Grandpa will write these words, now this day in October
I'll remember the first impression you gave me
Always smiling, as I carried you by the sea

Hi Dino Hi

Hello Dino -- I haven't read one of your poems for a long time. It is really good to see your words again.
This is a great poem -- full of love and pride. I really enjoyed reading it.
I hope you will write some more soon.

Thanks Cap!

Thanks Cap! Hello everyone, yes it's been almost a year. How time flys. Just a poem to help me remember meeting my first grnadson. All my grandkids and two daughters came up to see me and what a blast. Now they're thousands of miles away and left with only memories. House is so quiet now. I've been out of touch with writing poems but thanks again for your comment.

Quiet

Yes -- life gets very quiet when they grow up. Sounds like you had a great time with them.
Your writing is as good as ever -- hope you start keeping in touch witht it again.
See ya!

Dino, such a tender read...

lovely words to live by and remember. beautiful memories we all build.one day when my children will leave me w/an empty nest. i know i can not avoid that..for now i continue to enjoy having them home at 22 & 24..wish they were 2 & 4 LOL.. as much fun as i had watching them grow..through that mirror at the end of the hallway as we carried then off to bed..nothing i could do to stop them..they just refused to stop growing..LOL if their dad was alive today i know he too would be proud of them as i..

thank you for such a heart warming read...of lovely memories close and tender to the heart
