Can You, Feel, The Rain

Remember, when your Mom would scream, come out of the rain?
How, old were you? Mom and Dad are gone now, do you remember,
When, mom, would scream, come out of the rain? So, long ago.
You, have made your way, cars in the garage still, you love the rain
As you sit, look out the window, of the house that you own
You see, the rain falling down, and remember, when words were real
Your, mom, screaming, get into this house, the words are gone,
But, not the memories, you jump up from your chair, run out in search of
No, not memories, you search for the touch, of the touch, you remember
When, you were a child, now, in your, own back yard, you have come far
As you stand, naked, as the child, you were and are, you reach for the sky
Scream, rain, all over me, lightning, thunder, give me all you have to give
Then, the thunder and rain, all the wind, goes away, you go back inside
Dry your self off, put back, on your clothes, and sit down, at your table
Sip, a hot cup of coffee, then the phones rings, and you say, yes, I love you to
Forgive me, darling, right now, I just want to be a lone, can you feel the rain?
