Loaf Of Life
2 March, 2003
Author: Capricorn
Oh look! this loaf of mine is all dried out
- forgotten what living is all about.
The freshness of life has left this dry bread,
it's not even worth putting on a spread.
I've been in this bread-bin for far too long
-past my sell by date, all freshness gone.
Oh! soon I'll refresh my stale life again
and get a new loaf to forget the pain.
When I get that loaf I'll just take a slice
and spread it with all the good things of life,
making some memories that I can re-live.
I'll get out of this bin, and start to live!
