Dark Then Light, Then Dark Again
5 November, 2004
Author: Eryemil
“The world is such a shallow place--- humans are such pathetic creatures. It is terrifying to finally realize that you are not important, that your life doesn’t matter and that whatever you do someone will do better while trying to escape from the same abiding ghosts with pleasant names. Hope, optimism, perseverance; all lies we tell ourselves so we can ignore the evident truth. Life is pointless, nothing before and nothing after, just a spell of lucidity before plunging back into darkness. |

Meridian (64.12.116.203) -- Saturday, November 6 2004, 12:44 am A different poem you've got there! This is the first poem I've read, that has rhetorical questions, high-level vocabulary, great analogies, thought provoking, and exemplified all at once! Your poem reminds me of toppings on a pizza! You've got the crust-----the skill, the sauce----the ability----the pepperoni----the creativity-----the cheese----the imagery! Man, you're getting greater and greater! "Dark Then Light, Then Dark Again"! You're not a madman, you're a talented man! I hope to read more soon L.E.! A lot of smiley faces, Meri |
