Memory's From Afar
6 November, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Last night I looked at the stars so bright,
Across the blanket of the night sky I gazed,
The moon shone bright with its guiding light,
I saw your face on the same sky above,
Were your thoughts of me on this night?
I looked up and as far as I could see
Caught a formation of you and me
I saw the time we walked the shore,
The warm waters splashed at our feet,
Our hands like part of a puzzle fit just right,
We laughed together with so much love,
We talked from each beat of our hearts,
The laughter took us both to a place
Where forgotten memories were soon embraced
As we walked back home it saddens me to leave,
We'd had much fun it's to soon for an end,
Come on in, you did not ask twice,
I started the fire you made hot chocolate,
We talked much more,
Your beauty shone through,
Your smile spoke many words unsaid
Your tears told me there’s nothing to regret
As I walked to the door,
The sun shone through,
A warm feeling was felt from me to you,
Tonight we'd meet and laugh some more,
With you by my side, I'll love you much more.
To relive these memories I’ll never tire
When two hearts are burning with so much desire.
