Paradise
7 November, 2004
Author: Tammy
Gently the wind touched my face,
and the leaves danced around me.
In the tall green grass I layed...
with my eyes focused on the clouds.
Listening to the song of the robin,
I quietly hummed his tune.
The fragrance of flowers floated
into the air.
I stared deep into the painted sky,
peace overtook my body.
And as my eyes closed heaven
softly kissed my lips.

Dino (64.12.116.74) -- Monday, December 6 2004, 02:07 am I really like this poem Tammy. I wrote a similar poem called "Did you leave paradise" Yes, sometimes our paradise is right under our feet, and we don't even know it. My paradise is right in my back yard. Just looking up into the sky like you. Seeing the birds, clouds, forest, and my dog running around chasing squirrels and eating apples. Thanks for a wonderful poem, excuse me while I go sit in my paradise and listen to the water fall. Ah so nice! |
