Your Fire
9 November, 2004

I watch the tears fall like rain
flooding the dreams of hope,
when I think of the truth and all
that's when I know I can't cope,
with realityand the torture it brings
amongst ten thousand harmful things,
"hold me tight and tell me,
tell me we weren't nothing,
we were meant for this time,
not to die another minute longer,
but to be already be dead and resurrected."
I feel the night draw away
and take with it my broken soul,
only to return the following sunset
and once again make me whole,
the bitternessfades from my heart
as the ice melts and drips apart.
