Dawn

Knowing now that your away,
I just dont know what to say.
I keep thinking I see your face,
My mind just skips, and my heart starts to race.
It's hard to except that I will never see you,
I cry so hard my face turns blue.
But what calms me the best,
Is your not in pain, You just in a peaceful rest.
You fought real hard while you were here,
And kept it up for many years.
You have four wonderful kids,
And did what you did.
It was a hard fight,
But you won the battle.
We know you are alright,
Our minds are just rattled.
We love you and we will miss you,
That much is true.
We will see you again,
Then time will again begin.
------- Author's Notes -------
I wrote this poem for my Aunt Dawn who passed away November 6,2004. I placed this poem on her casket with a yellow rose. I just want her to know that we are thinking about her and that we miss and love her very much. |
