Beginning To End

Many days have passed since we first met,
Many times we have together shared,
I still remember your first ever smile,
Thinking back it warms my heart,
As friends we grew closer than allowed,
As friends we’d talk forever more,
We shared our sorrows, and gave our hearts,
Knowing each other better than ourselves,

Our road then split into,
Separate we are but still do feel,
My love for you will always burn true,
My friendship is here reach out and touch,
My tears flow now all alone,
My heart seems empty now we’re apart,
A reason I’m sure is very near,
But my heart yet cannot see it clear,
Though we’d be friends in life,
Thought we’d forever touch our souls,
Tonight I’ll see you still in my mind,
Tonight I’ll kiss you dear,
Tonight I’ll ask god to send you a bless,
Keep warm and safe,
My dearest friend.

This is sad...

I think this poem really fits my situation perfectly. My best friend and I are branching apart after choosing to go to different colleges after high school. I miss her and our friendship so very much
