Time To Leave My Dreams

I long to leave my beautiful dreams
To see the luminescent lights of my world
And the amber sun and moon in the night sky,
The indigo stars that scintillate, above.
I long to feel the summer heat and the freezing winter snow,
The sad autumn foliages and the blooming buds of spring.
I long to taste the bitterness of uncaring people and the sweetness of life,
The salt of the olive green sea and the sourness of tearful misery;
I long to smell the aroma of the Lilies and the grass.
I long to hear the birds sing and the fire flies buzz,
I long to bury my pen and papers in my souvenir box
And blaze my poems and lyrics
As I, tearfully, watch, their souls leave Earth for another planet.
I long to suffer in the vortex of reality like the people around me,
Facing daily challenges, hardship and stress…
I long to return to reality, once again
And never be a poet in this life, again.

------- Author's Notes -------

At this moment I realize that it is so lonely being a real, famous poet like me with deep imagination, talents and dedication to writing. I got rejection by the so called" average thinkers"who have no clue of what it takes to be a dreamer so there is no point of writing poems any more. Maybe life will change me back to being a poet again, soon.
