More Than Zero

Author: Omega
in star constellations and galaxies
every piece of matter is broken down exactly
made up of protons and neutrons,
orbited by electrons,
and inside everything is quarks,
every photon,
that shines in real time,
exists purely in the mind,
we came from more than zero,
to a point in space time,
where our planet is part of the great debate,
in a smooth and uniformed manner,
we descended from apes,
if you believe we came from God,
it's just a question of faith,
and did he play a part in making the world?
and which did he take?
there's so much we undrstand,
and that which is theory,
some of that is fiction,
and some is true, nearly,
general relativity only answers some questions,
and quantum mechanics could answer the second,
set of points put forward,
by our peers and all before us,
the universe is expanding,
and moving forward,
will it contract?
will worlds all collapse?
from Big Bang to Big Crunch,
or generate a greater mass,
do you believe in science fiction?
or science fact?
could aliens from outer space,
help fill the gaps?
if you could break down the whole spectrum,
could you solve the puzzles laid down,
before time began?
as the spin in turn spins,
around everything within,
we still navigate the night skies,
to find our origin.
------- Author's Notes -------
i love this poem. i wanted to try something different from what i saw every other poet doing. they all seem so boring and 2 dimensional. i don't know of anyone else writing like this. |

anonymous (74.65.121.49) -- Saturday, July 5 2008, 09:12 am i have no understanding of what you meant when you said that you knew of no one else writing like this... like what? you're putting your thoughts down in your own way - everyone on here does exactly that. your writing is no different than anyone else's writing - maybe a different subject, but that's not even relevant to your statement. what is it that is different from other writings? |
anonymous 2 (65.92.23.217) -- Tuesday, August 16 2011, 03:06 pm I agree with anonymous - I would have really liked your poem better if you would not have put that comment on - as if you are soooo special... and everyone else is not.... |
