Soup And Rice

Got ten bucks, work is slow, eating soup and rice
What the hell, let's live it up, do something nice
Borrow the money, use the credit card, get on that plane
United we go, Chicago, Munich Germany, Barcelona Spain
The room is nice, balcony, ocean view, heading for Rome
Fine dining cuisine, buffet, room service, not like home
Entertainment, casino, dancing, movies and more
Getting fat, pounds are adding, ice cream and desert galore
To the Coliseum, Vatican, Tower of Pisa, and Mediterranean Sea
Monte Carlo, France, Portugal, it's over welming me
British Airways, London, now homeward bound
Home at last, sure miss my dog, and home ground
Still got my ten bucks, work is slow, eating soup and rice
What the hell, we lived it up, sure was nice

Hi Dino

I really enjoyed sharing your journey -- it was a good holiday. Always good to come home though,eh? No place like it at the end of the day. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Cap!

Thanks Cap! Ya, like they say, Rome is nice, but home is better. Hey, the plane did three big circles over sunny day London England. Could see London Bridge and your house. You guys drive on the wrong side of the street. Ha,ha. Sometimes you need to take your dream trip of your life time, even if you hardly have any money. Still got my 10 bucks. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Living

At least you're the kind of person that will never say, "I wish I did that!"

Thanks Webster!

I learn something. I envy the 86 yr. old man Lyle with a walker, moved 4 inches a step, with me on 2 tour buses. Always wanted to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I helped him get on & off the bus, while others disgusted at him and in the way. Was with him in Cassis, France fishing village, bus dropped us off, he walked 1/2 block and the tour was over,he didn't see much but at least he tried, dispite his illness in bones & eyes yet still smiling? Wife said he's going soon. Yet another man, cruise was over, final bus ride to the airport to go home, dies of a heart attack in the bus next to us,he toured with us on many tours, got to know him named Richard. His final vacation/w his wife Dianne. I see his smile also, happy to get this Spanish CD songs in Alhambra Spain.Makes me realize how life is so short, and can be taken at any moment. Enjoy it to the bitter end, as I seen these two men did. Thanks Webster, for your comment. You said it,"Living!"
