To Be A Butterfly
15 November, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
I have seen, death in my time, ones I loved, turned into dust
Of all those, I have lost, some went on to be, butterflies
For you see, I believe in my God, and when my turn comes
I know one thing most of all, I believe, I will become, a butterfly
As our time comes, to leave this life we know, I believe
We have a choice, like the cocoon, of a butterfly
We will leave the flesh, as we break through, and touch
His love, we will become, like butterflies, sent, throughout the world
Traveling, up and down, left and right, upon or tiny wings
So, beautiful, to our sight, I believe, that, those who believe
Will break out, of this life’s cocoon, and fly and share
His beauty and love, for all to see, so, next time you see, a butterfly
Remember, God will set us free, as we emerge from this life
And are set free, our tiny sprits soar, on butterfly wings
Such, beauty and love, has he given us, I can’t wait to be,
The beauty of his love, the warmth of his heart, I will share
I can’t wait, I just can’t wait, thank you Lord, Oh My!
