Love That Sausage

Author: Webster
Did you ever sit in your dachshund's chair?
When I sit there his teeth are bared.
The reason he wants to go for a walk
Is not the usual reason:
He wants to find a neighbor's court
He can disturb the peace in.
He knows the house of every cat
And he's the type of doggy that
Avoids the place he got too chipper (!),
Ignoring the odd-looking mongrel litter.
Last week he barked to death a turtle
And left his mark on everything vertical.
Sometimes he makes me want to cry,
But he's the apple of my eye.

Anthony Wright (amwright) (66.53.12.85) -- Friday, November 19 2004, 05:44 am Sounds a bit like my cat who thinks he's a dog. I take him for walks too, he'll whine at the door until I put his leash on and go out with him. I hear a lot of people say, "Hey, look, a cat on a leash!" Maybe I ought to write a poem about my friend Sebastian. |
