Mommy
18 November, 2004
Author: Toni D
So you're okay now i hear
you're okay to love again
maybe i'll try to love you
after i try to be okay myself
You're a hard woman to love
maybe it's not me that needs
to love you
do you love you?
You're okay now I hear
I can let down my wall
and walk without fear
There's no way you can
break my heart again
cause you're okay
you've shed your old skin
Never answered my question
"why you gotta runaway?"
If runnin' was the answer
then why are you still runnin today?
You're okay now I hear
I can let down my wall
and walk without fear
There's no way you can
break my heart again
cause you're okay
you've shed your old skin
Haven't see you yet
haven't looked in your eyes
mommy, why do i see
all of your lies?
How long do I have to love you
before it all comes
tumbling down?
Why you gotta blame those
that loved me
when you were not around?
You're okay now I hear
but I can't let down my wall
it's just one day of a year
and tomorrow you could fall
Tomorrow you could break my heart
and make me cry all over again
I don't want that mommy
I dont need to wear your skin
