Wrapped So Tight Around You
21 November, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
To know how much my life was wound around you
Every choice was "what would you think"
And yet you thought I didn't love you
...That I never thought of you
So I always failed
So many opportunities were lost
Friendships and love pushed away
As not to disappoint you
To always do the right thing
I had so many chances to truly rebel
Almost all of them I pushed away
Because I knew...
I knew what you would say
I could only dream of doing
The things I wanted to do
Those that I could not
Because I was wound too tight close to you
I tried so hard not to disappoint you
But still somehow..... I always did
