Still Here
21 November, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Are you there yet
I still feel you near
Obvious signs to me
Telling me you are here
No, you cannot speak to me
The way you used to do
But I hear you easily
Wandering my thoughts..It's you
In the quiet of the silence
You are here with me
I close my eyes and picture you
Gently swinging there.. by the tree
I feel you take my hand as you said you would
And we talk.. speaking in my mind
You remind me your not God
Just now an essence of a different kind
I ask "will you always be here"
You answer "I don't know
But Becky, I am here right now"
So I sit listening... quietly within my soul
