At Last

Count time in minutes and years
With boredem as my friend
With shadows cast and bloody tears
I shall reach my final end
For none know what I do know
An few care what I do
Let anger swell to let it grow
Either death or glory to choose
I risk life for what do I gain
In a second it's all lost
Why must i feel such immense pain
And why so many pay the cost?
Sweat drips along the brow
Waiting for the shout
For the time is here and now
My mind is filled with doubt
I have seen enough in life
To have me scarred in death
So much toil and strife
I wish I had already left
Finally I see the goal in site
With only death in my way
I will last as long as I can fight
For freedom for another day
