A Box Of Memories
28 November, 2004
Author: Ben Franklin
A Box of memories,
I find the love letters you first sent to me,
trying your very best to tempt me,
they made me feel full when I felt empty
I find the snaps of our holiday to spain,
£316 each for two weeks of bloody rain!
i'ts fair to say we never went again!
I find a picture of our wedding day,
it gives me a scare..
I cant belive I had that style of hair!!!
but hey it was the eighties
nobody cared!
I find your tie that I always helped you out with
in the morning,
tying it around your neck
while your standing in front of the mirror
barely awake and yawning
I will never forget you Henry..
for you will always be
in my box of memories.

I can imagine her looking through his belongings and remembering the good times, the bad times, and the little things that only she would have noticed about him. This is really well written, and I think you captured that moment. Nat X |
