The Three Ps
20 September, 2002
Author: Capricorn
I'm sitting at my stall in the Fair right now
Selling my crafts to make a little dough
Business is slow and my mind's slipping away
To another Craft Fair back on another day
There was this lady, she made wonderful things
`COUNTRY CRAFTS' she called herself - has a nice ring!
At the end I asked her if she'd done okay
She said she'd be glad to be going home that day!
Said she'd had nothing but `Three P's'
`Three P's'? - what's that mean please?
People who 'ooh' and `aah', don't buy a thing and walk off
They're the `Three P's'
They `Pick it up', `Put it down', and `Piss off!'
Well I had to laugh, I had to smile
For this lady had class, she had some style
And to hear these words just come out
I laughed to hear what her`Three P's' were about!
Anyway back to business, people looking interested too
Lady's picked up a picture,and saying `ooh'
She's asking her husband and the kids
If she buys it I'll make quite a few quid!
She's picked it up and turned it about
She's really interested, there is no doubt
But no! she's putting it down, walking away, if you please!
Oh I could shout!
She was just one of those `Three P's'!
(Oh! `Piss off' then please!!)
