Awkward Silence
2 December, 2004
Author: Cookey
Have you ever lived a moment
That consisted of not much
Of few seconds of stability
Then an hour without touch
Jus two faces sitting awkwardly
Glaring at the moon
Wishing with all their hearts
That one would make a move
A long ten minutes pass
One shuffles their feet
Reaches out their hand
But then quickly retreats
What they want is jus dangling there
They can reach out and receive
But self consciousness is quite unfair
And makes the awkwardness complete
The silence is almost deafening
No one can hear a thing
Jus thoughts and emotions running wild
Around, around again
